From the Fountain
A play by Joel Perez
Faith and family.
After a long exile, a son returns to his hometown, Lawrence, MA, to attend the funeral of his Pentecostal father. Memories of his complicated childhood as the gay child of a Puerto Rican pastor flood his mind as takes refuge in the church office during the wake. What happens when we put God before family? How much are we willing to sacrifice for our faith?
